I was wresting with a tough decision and found this helpful.

This article, How Anxiety Interferes With Decision-Making – And How to Stop it Intruding, lead me to useful techniques, especially the last three which I summarized below.

What would I do if?
  1. there was nothing to be worried about - either way!
  2. there was no wrong decision.
  3. I chased what I wanted more than avoided what I didn't want.
But in the end, I realized that if I'm feeling down, or anxious, ANY DECISION I MAKE WILL FEEL BAD. It might not be bad, I could luck out and randomly pick a good decision, but all decisions will most definitely FEEL BAD.

So, wait, get in a good place. Then make a decision.
